Swanee says she doesn't recall being especially artsy as a child, but her mother
loved color, and “she wasn‘t afraid to use it!“ One cold winter, her mother
painted the living room ceiling orange so she could feel the warmth of the sun.
Swanee says she's not as free spirited as her mother, but she did learn a love of
color from her. To this day, Swanee can’t walk out of the paint department
without a hand full of sample cards!
Swanee began beading several years ago when she joined a beading group on a
whim. She falls in love with every bead that passes through her fingers; and she
loves to play with them, sorting and organizing, and creating beautiful pieces of
jewelry.
Not content to create jewelry in a particular style, Swanee enjoys weaving tattoo
patterns, elegant wedding jewelry, and everything in between. Perhaps she's
more her mother's child than she thought!
